In our latest episode, we dive into the unsettling circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Tamla Horsford. This episode explores a case that continues to baffle and disturb all who learn of it.
Tamla Horsford, a loving mother and friend, attended a seemingly typical adult sleepover party in November 2018. The night was supposed to be filled with fun and laughter, but tragically ended with Tamla being found lifeless in the backyard the next morning. This shocking event sent ripples through Forsyth County and raised a myriad of questions that remain unresolved.
Delving into the Night of Tragedy
Throughout the episode, we recount the events leading up to Tamla's death, guided by the narratives and testimonies of fellow partygoers. The party hosted by a new friend was supposed to be alcohol-fueled fun in a safe environment. Even though everyone at the party reported having a normal evening, questions hang over Tamla's apparent fall from the home’s back deck.
The official ruling declared her death an accident due to a fall from the second-story deck. However, glaring inconsistencies with witness statements, discrepancies in the handling of the investigation, and the conspicuous absence of autopsy photos only add to the prevailing sense of unease. Was it truly an accident, or is there more to this case than meets the eye?
An Underlying Tension
Set against the backdrop of Forsyth County's unsettling racial history, this incident becomes even more unsettling. As the only Black woman present at the party, Tamla's death prompts questions of whether implicit biases affected the thoroughness and integrity of the investigation.

Numerous pleas to reopen the case have gathered steam, highlighting the critical role of public pressure and attention in the pursuit of justice.
